What will you STOP rejecting and what will you START embracing?
What will you STOP rejecting and what will you START embracing?
It’s not always easy to leave things in the past but we can never truly heal until we open our eyes to all that is still ahead of us. What are you looking forward to?

How often are you pausing to recharge and reboot your mind?
It’s been said, that everybody needs time to rejuvenate, refresh, recharge and begin again.
Every so often we life coaches like to coach one another. This practice not only helps us to keep our skills sharp but it also helps us to remember we are human just like everyone else and not exempt from regular day to day struggles. This morning I had a wonderful coaching session with my friend and fellow colleague Sarah. In this coaching session I came to the realization with her that I am long overdue for a recharge and reboot. The low battery life alert had been flashing in my mind for days now, but I kept ignoring it. As I shared with her the internal struggle I had been wrestling with, it hit me that I was putting too much energy on things that are secondary to my authentic purpose and passion. As we discussed the physical and mental toll sacrificing my interests and talents was taking on me, I started to feel a weight lift off my shoulders. I began to take ownership of the choices I had been making over the course of these past few days and I acknowledged that my desire to please others had overpowered my desire to be happy and at peace with myself. This resulted in me realizing that I had been running on autopilot. I had been floating along for the past few days crossing item after item off of my to-do list, never feeling all that satisfied with the days progress. I found myself feeling exhausted and frustrated at the end of every day. “I would rather be…” kept popping up in my mind as I floated from one task to the other. I was using up all of my energy to tackle things that had little if anything to do with growing my coaching practice, blogging or working on my art. Upon exploration and with the help of some visualization exercises I realized that my mind was being pulled in several different directions and that it was running on fumes at this point.
After my session, I committed to giving my mind the time it needed to rest and regroup. I paused and let my mind settle. What is important? What can wait? What is no longer serving me? What would you like to do in this moment? As I meditated around these questions today I felt my mind coming back to full power. I felt invigorated and inspired to put more of my energy and focus on the things that mattered to me most. Those things that bring me alive. My original outlook of the day shifted and as this Wednesday, March 5th draws to a close I feel accomplished and content. I was able to coach a few clients, write this blog post, and will be finishing up a painting before this night is through. That’s a beautiful thing.
Remember to be patient with yourself. The energy that our mind supplies should be nurtured and cared for. This is our essence. When we neglect the messages our mind and body relay to us, we deny our authentic self from being heard. Listen to the messages being transmitted and take the time every so often to recharge and reboot your life.

Promise Yourself
To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.
To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”
― Christian D. Larson, Your Forces and How to Use Them
Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before?
You’ve lived this day before. You know every decision and every move you’ll make today. There is safety and comfort here, but somehow you find yourself wanting. You look out, and wonder what else is there. “Is everyone’s life like this?”
PREDICTABLE, EMPTY, and UNFULFILLED are words you’re becoming all too familiar with. These words echo in your mind on a regular basis, with the hope that maybe one day you will hear their call. Deep down inside the voice of your authentic self is stirring. Every once in a while he or she will emerge from within you and call out “THIS IS NOT LIVING!” From the pit of your belly you sense their power, and for a moment you hear what it is they have say. The problem, you don’t know how to live any other way.
Make a choice to receive the change you know you need and deserve. Abandon old habits and take up new more positive ones. Listen for the passions that still live inside you. It’s never too late to explore the unknown. What you know to be safe and comfortable today no longer serves you. Look for what brings you alive. Stand up today with strength in your heart and clarity in your mind. Surrender who you are for what you could become. You are worth it.

If you were given a choice between being given great wisdom or great wealth, which would you choose?
Acknowledge all that you have and the take notice of the abundance that exists in your life now. Never feel as though you need to choose between wisdom and wealth. You are capable, and deserving of both. We are each uniquely whole, creative, and resourceful. It is only when we acknowledge this as our truth that we have the ability to amass all of the wisdom and wealth we see fit to cultivate in our lives. Call forth all that is natural and great within you and watch as these gifts and talents guide you closer and closer to inner wisdom, personal growth, and abundance.

If you had a friend that spoke to you the way you that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?
When I came across this question it really stuck a chord with me. How many of us are guilty of being overly critical and harsh with ourselves?
You are strong. You are capable. You are amazing!
Be Kind to Yourself
Stop allowing your limiting beliefs to get the better of you. You wouldn’t tolerate anyone treating you the way you have been treating yourself, so make a change and decide to be kind to yourself. Remember that we are each braver than we believe, stronger than we seem, smarter than we think, and twice as beautiful than we could ever imagine. There is power and potential in each and every one of us. Believe that your light can and should shine just as bright as the next person, and allow your inner brilliance to come through in everything you do. Dream. Believe. Unlock. Learn to love the person you are. There is no better person to take the job of being your best friend then you.
